Walt write a report on whales Whales
Whales are the strongest sea animals in the world. They are bigger than dinosaurs and elephants because of their long body and long tail. The blue whale is the biggest animal in the whole world. Whales live in the ocean for many years.
Whales are mammals just like humans but they live in a different kind of place. Mother whales give birth to their young calves until they know how to swim. Baby whales feed from its mother’s milk.
Whales use their flippers to swim and move from left to right. Fish have scales and fins not flippers. Whales have smooth oily skin and flippers.
All whales need air to survive. If they don’t, they will die. Whales can blow out water up to 10 metres high through their blow hole. The blow hole is like their nostril.
Whales can keep in touch with each other by making noises like clicking, thumping and squeaking.
Sometimes whales get stranded because the water has gone down or they get sick or they get lost by rough storms and other dangerous stuff.
Blue whales are the largest animal in the world and they are heavy like 30 elephants put together. Their tail is about 8 metres long.
